Well, I guess this is the last post of the decade. I’m listening to Lo-Fi and working on TEDx’s website right now. A fitting way to end the decade. Lo-Fi.

I went to a market meant for electronics yesterday to buy some electronic components for the Music Reactive Desk Lamp I wanted to work on. I did buy some earlier, but for some reason, the LED Light Strip that I bought wasn’t working (it was showing random colors). So I went to a reputed store and bought another LED Light Strip hoping that this one would work. I came back and sent 12V to a 5V strip by adding a resistor in hopes to reduce the current. 1 second later, I see smoke. The resitor burnt out because too much current flowed through it and the first LED in the sequence burnt as well. In addition to that, I had an external LED that I used for checking whether current was flowing or not. Guess what? That burnt out too. My room had a burnt plastic smell that no human should ever have to experience. (It was extremely suffocating and smelled horrible). So, yeh.

Luckily, only the first LED in the strip burnt out. The rest should work fine and all I have to do is chop the first one off. I’ll go back to college, find a 5V adapter and then finish this. I have everything but the power supply ready.

Until next decade then.Lame
